I think it’s pretty normal for new parents to worry when it comes to their children. For me, the worry started as soon as I saw two pink lines on the pregnancy test. Since that day, I’ve worried about pretty much everything- how much the baby was moving in utero, how much he WASN’T moving, how much sugar I was eating, labor, etc. After I actually had the kid the worry has gone through the roof.
Hey everyone, I’ve been a little MIA from this blog lately, mostly because I have a newborn who likes to keep me quite busy. I think we are in a good groove now so hopefully that means I can focus on more fun things, like writing posts. I will be the first to say that I lucked out with this baby. He is incredibly easy. He has been sleeping through the night since week two and only cries or fusses when something is wrong. For the first four weeks after he was born we had a slew of visitors, so things have been even easier because we’ve had help. My husband was off the week after the baby was born, and my dad was here for almost two weeks shortly after that. My husband was again off the next two weeks and his mom was here for a few days, followed by my mom for a week. But that all came to an end yesterday when all of our visitors went back home and my husband was officially back at work. READ MORE
After much stress and contemplation on how and what to feed my baby while I was pregnant, I decided that what worked best for him, for me, and for my husband was to feed him both formula and breast milk. I started him on formula while in the hospital and it went great. The baby took to the bottle right away, my husband was able to feed him just as much as I would, and what I liked the most was that I could see exactly how much he was eating. READ MORE
